Sponge Cheese Cake

Assalamualaikum...
Actually this is from my another blog entry.. hehe.. i just paste it here..

Ingredient:
  • 250g Cream cheese (a pack of Philadelphia cream cheese softened)
  • 250g Fresh milk
  • 90g Butter (softened)
  • 6 Egg (seperate)
  • 60g Flour (sieve)
  • 20g Corn flour / Cornstarch (sieve)
  • 140g Fine sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cream of tartar

 Method:
  1. Beat Egg white + cream of tartar + sugar (sampai bila kita terbalikkan, ia tak jatuh.. hehe). Then remove.
  2. Melt cream cheese, fresh milk and butter in slow fire. use wooden spoon. until fine. Remove
  3. Beat together ingredient (2) + flour + corn powder + egg yolk 1 @ time. (masuk 1,1). Then ingredient (1).
  4. place in greased cake pan
  5. bake in double boiling for 60 min @ 160 °C
  6. and enjoy!

  6. double boiler = Bain Marie
    you can check here too: bain marie

    Fill bottom of double boiler (a bigger pan) with water and place on low heat in the oven.
    put another container of ingredients (smaller than the bottom) on top of it. So the container of ingredients is placed and will be bake in shallow bath of warm water.

      what I mean with corn powder is actually a cornstarch. or sometimes in Malaysia, we called it cornflour
